Your skin type refers to the natural function of your skin. Your skin type is genetically determined and can be identified by the amount of oil secretion in the skin. There are 5 skin types.

Skin conditions are conditions that happen to your skin at various times during life. No 2 people are the same and conditions can occur for a wide range of different reasons. Things such as age, lifestyle, diet, medications, stress, hormonal imbalance & illnesses are some of the contributing factors that can affect what is happening to our skin.

See the charts below for skin types and some common skin conditions:

As you can see there is a distinct difference in our skin type and the different skin conditions we can experience throughout life.  It’s important for us to understand these differences when choosing what is right for our skin at any given time.

There are also many other skin conditions that I haven't covered. I have covered the most common conditions that people are generally concerned with.

I am planning to write more in the future about the above skin conditions in more detail and how to help with these conditions.

If you feel that you need help with any of these conditions or figuring out your skin type, you can contact me at haloorganics@gmail.com or through Facebook messages.
